Fall 1 2019: September 9 – October 17, 2019 (6 weeks)

  • Cost: $78.00 for 1 night –OR– $117.00 for 2 nights
    • All registrations after the first week of class will be pro-rated.

Fall 2 2019: October 21 – December 5, 2019 (6 weeks) 

  • Mondays: October 21, 28; November 4, 11, 18; December 2
    • 6:00 – 6:50 pm
  • Thursdays: October 24, 31 November 1, 8, 15, 22; December 5
    • 6:00 – 6:50 pm
  • Cost: $78.00 for 1 night –OR– $117.00 for 2 nights
    • All registrations after the first week of class will be pro-rated
  • Notes for this session:
    • Learn to Skate Class will be held on Halloween. Thursday students who choose not to attend on that night may make up their missed night by attending any of the Monday classes during this session. Please see class make up policy below.
    • Skaters may come dressed in their Halloween Costumes on October 28th or October 31st — details will be handed out on the first night of class.
    • No classes November 25 & 28 due to Thanksgiving

Winter 2020: January 13 – March 5, 2020 (8 weeks)

  • Mondays:  January 13, 20, 27; February 3, 10, 17, 24; March 2
    • 6:00 – 6:50 pm
  • Thursdays: January 16, 23, 30; February 6, 13, 20, 27; March 5
    • 6:00 – 6:50 pm
  • Cost: $104.00 for 1 night –OR– $156.00 for 2 nights
    • Registration for this session will end after the 3rd week of class due to ice show preparation.
  • Notes for this session:
    • All skaters will have the opportunity to perform in our annual ice show.
    •  A small fee will be charged during registration to help with the purchase of costumes for the Ice Show.
    • Ice Show is scheduled for Saturday, February 29, 2020 — More details will be made available closer to the show.

Spring 2020: March 16 – May 7, 2020 (8 weeks)

  • Mondays: March 16, 23, 30; April 6, 13, 20, 27; May 4
    • 6:00 – 6:50 pm
  • Thursdays:  March 19, 26; April 2, 9, 16, 23, 30; May 7
    • 6:00 – 6:50 pm
  • Cost:  $104.00 for 1 night –OR– $156.00 for 2 nights
    • All registrations after the first week of class will be pro-rated.
  • Online Registration opens February 24, 2019

Additional Fees:

  • Annual Membership Fee: Required
    • Cost: $18 annually (Membership year runs July 1-June 30)
    • This is an additional fee that will be charged once per year and is added on to the registration cost for the student’s first skating session of the season.
    • Covers the cost of a US Figure Skating Learn to Skate USA membership.
    • Skaters will receive a membership card, a copy of Learn to Skate USA: The Magazine, a Skater’s Record Book, a Parents Handbook and a welcome letter by mail once the registration has been processed by USFS.
  • Skate Rental:
    • If you do not have your own skates, rentals are available from the ICE Arena for $1.00 per class.
    • Rental fees will be paid per class – no pay ahead option is available.

Available Discounts:

  • Multi-class Discount: Sign up for both Monday and Thursday classes and receive 1/2 off the second night’s lessons.
  • Family Discount: Receive $5 off the registration fee for each additional family member from the same household participating in our Learn to Skate USA program. (Discount does not apply to the first family member).
  • Bridge Discount: Skaters participating in the MPFSC Bridge Program receive 1/2 off their Learn to Skate USA class fees.

Please note all class fees must be paid by the first night of class.  Fees can be paid by cash, check (payable to MPFSC), or credit/debit cards. Payments may be made in person on the first night of class or online with registration.  Please note credit/debit transactions are subject to a $4 convenience fee


Make up Class Policy:

Students may have the opportunity to make-up missed classes by attending the same level class on another day.  Make-up classes can only occur within the current class session and only when arranged in advance with the Learn to Skate Director. Please note there is no chance for a makeup if you are signing up for both days. However, the second day is already discounted by half!

Refund Policy: 

The MPFSC Board of Directors has deemed the Learn to Skate USA Refund policy is as follows:

“No refunds will be given after the second night of class for the skater. Amount refunded will be prorated based on what remains of session, Learn to Skate USA membership fee will not be refunded.”
