MPFSC was honored to give out 4 USFS Gold Medals at our Awards Banquet this year:

Jawaher Dabas: Senior Moves in the Field

Madison Morey: Senior Moves in the Field.

Madison also holds the distinction of being the youngest MPFSC skater to ever earn a USFS gold medal.

Patrick Ronan: Senior Free Skating & Gold Dance Test.

Patrick also holds the distinction of becoming MPFSC’s first ever Triple Gold Medalist, as he previously received a gold medal for Senior Moves in the Field.

Becoming a U.S. Figure Skating gold medalist is the culmination of many years of hard work and dedication to the sport. In a typical year only 3 percent of all the USFS tests passed are at the gold or senior level. This is an amazing accomplishment and we are so proud of all of you!

Several of the skaters from the Middle of the Mitt High School Figure Skating Team were also recognized for receiving their Varsity Letters:

Patrick Ronan (Senior, Mt Pleasant)
Autumn Willsey (Junior, Sacred Heart Academy)
Sarah Zhao (Junior, Mt Pleasant)
Jenna Harnick (Junior, Mt Pleasant)
Kayla Morgan (Junior, Shepherd)
Jaedyn Myers (Sophomore, Gladwin)
Angelina Myers (Freshman, Shepherd)
Grace McIntosh (Freshman, Mt Pleasant)

Special Awards were presented to the following skaters:

Most Improved: Madison Morey

Hardest Worker: Sara Nitschke

Sportsmanship: Kayla Morgan

Congratulations to all of our skaters on their amazing accomplishments this past season! We can’t wait to see what 2017-18 brings!
