Registration for the Fall 2 Session of Learn to Skate is now Closed! Please check back in November for information about our Winter Session that will begin in January.
The Fall 2 Session of Learn to Skate will run for 6 weeks from October 21 – December 12, 2024 and is open to both new and returning skaters ages 4 and up. Classes are held on Monday and/or Thursday nights at 6:00 pm and includes dedicated lesson time with a certified instructor and group and individual practice time and activities.

Snowplow Sam 1, 2, 3 (Ages 4 – 5)
The Snowplow Sam levels are introductory classes divided into three progressive levels allowing our littlest skaters to build confidence while learning the basic skills of skating. These classes are designed to help children 5 and younger develop agility, balance, coordination and speed.

Basic 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 (Ages 6 and up)
These “Basic Skills” levels teach the fundamentals of ice skating and provide the best foundation for figure skating, hockey, speed skating and recreational. Six progressive levels introduce forward and backward skating, stops, edges, crossovers, and turns. Theses classes are designed to help skaters build confidence, agility, balance, coordination and speed.

Please note a minimum of 2 registered skaters is required to hold this class.
Adult 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 (Ages 18 and up)
The adult curriculum is designed for both beginning and experienced adult skaters who wish to start or improve their skating skills. Participation in the program will help promote physical fitness and improve balance and coordination while teaching proper skating techniques.

- Skaters may sign up for one night or both nights. A discount is available for skater’s registering for both nights. — See registration form for details.
- All new skaters enrolled in this session will need to sign up/renew their annual Learn to Skate membership ($20). This fee will be added to your registration costs for the session.
- Class space is limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
- Registration will be online only. No in person registration will be available.
- Rental skates are available from the rink if needed. A rental fee of $2.00 will be paid each week at the skate rental window when you pick up skates for lessons.
- If you are skating (or taking lessons) for the first time, the student should register for Snowplow Sam 1, Basic 1 or Adult 1. Students are evaluated at the first class session to gauge their skill/ability level, and are placed in another class if their skill is applicable.
- Skaters who are currently in a Learn to Skate Session should sign up for the level they are presently in and we will make any adjustments needed after evaluations.
